2nd piece :Essay of seasons

Spring is noon
Basking in the sun is supreme bliss

Summer is night
The time the moon comes up is better
Flowers come out in the dark  sky
And short-lived one makes me feel oppressed in the chest
Rainfall is also good
After rain falling, cool climate can be expected

Autumn is evening
The setting sun is a talented painter
It drew stunning gradation  with blue, pink, purple, yellow, orange colours on the canvus
After sunset, the sound of wind and the chorus  of bell cricket is elegant

Winter is...?
The time is not a problem
Spending all day long in Kotasu
Kotatsu is my house
Even if I am laughed at like "You are like snail", I don't care
Oranges and ice cream eaten at Kotatsu is particularly delicious

1st piece: My memory of trip to Dubai

This summer, I went to Dubai for sightseeing with my mother and my brother. The reason we choose Dubai is just curiosity. My mother and I want go to the middle East and because of off‐season, we can travel with cheaper cost. Later on, we knew why it is not popular to go sightseeing in the season through my own experience…

When is the best season for traveling Dubai? The answer is from October to April! The average atmosphere temperature is about 26℃ and you can pass comfortably. On the other hand, in off-season (from May to September), it is very very HOT and DAMP! On the hotter day, in July and August, outside air temperature exceeds 50℃ and also humidity is 100%. I went there in the beginning of August, and it was TOOOOOOOOOO HOT!!!! I didn’t want to take a walk so, we use taxi. Only take away. We couldn’t have a lunch and cannot drink a drop of water in public. X( Crazy!

Stating my honest impressions, Dubai is not so much developed country. There are many buildings which is on constraction and except for the erea near metrostation, sandy place is spreaded out.  When I went to Burj khalifa(The tallest building in the world), I thought that the night view from there must be not so good. You might see very small light.

I introduce the spot I thought it was good to visit.

    SKI DUBAI
It is the artificial ski resort. Suprisingly, it is in the mall of the emirates and we can enjoy skiing even if it is boilling hot day.  We can rental skis, ski boots, ski poles and ski wear, so we traveler can enjoy skiing easily. However, only glove we cannot borrow, so don't forget to bring them!
When we went there, there were less than 10 people. We could have a good time skiing without resistant. Taking that is is in the shopping mall into considerration, I thought it was so broad.

Desert Safari
It takes about half an hour from the city to go to desert. We were picked up at hotel and left for desert by 4 WDs driven by professional Desert Safari Guide. The drive at desert was sooo exciting! The driver drove excessibily on purpose. How many times I thought this car might be overturned... I think some of participants must have had car sickness. And we could have a good time to ride a camel and henna tatoo.:)

Wild Wadi Water Park
Wild Wadi is an outdoor water park with a heated/cooled wave pool, multiple water slides and two artificial surfing machines. I have never ride such exciting water sliders! There is a tunnel in which I couldn't see anything and it was very thrilling! There are water slides which 2,3,4 peoples can enjoy together, so I think coulples, friends, families can enjoy them.

Souk
There are some souks in Dubai. The popular one is gold souk. Some shops make specially designed necklace like Arabian name  of ours.  However, except for them,  I think Japanese don't like the design of gold and jewelry  because it is too gorgeous. What I bought at gold souk were souvenir of camel's accessory cases. There are many kinds of that  compared with other souk. And at other souk, I bought sand art, pashimina for souvenir.
Because the price at souk is cheaper than air port or shopping mall, I recommend you to buy souvenir at souk. However, don't relax your guard! As you know, Japanese are considered to be rich and easy target. Actually ,every shop clerk spoke to us friendly like "Japanese? Konnichiwa~", and several times I was wound with their recommend pashimina...

The trip to Dubai was very interesting. And it was a good experience to know Islam culture like Ramadan.

Week 5: What is "hapiness" to me?

My happiness is acting on instinct.
I like eating. Chatting  with my friends over a cup of tea and a piece of cake is one of my happiness. Eating out at a buffet-style restaurant offering as much as one can eat for a fixed price is also my likes.
I like watching TV drama, reading comics and watching movies in YouTube.  I can spend time doing these for all day long.
I like sleeping. I like Saturday and Sunday, because I can  sleep for more than 10 hours. I feel happiness also in taking a nap.
However, having too much free time is not so fun.  While living in idleness for days and days, I get bored with the free time.

Why the class of classics is needed?

I hated the class of classics study in my highschool days. To tell you the truth, I had a poor record in it. At that time, I was studying it in wondering what the benefit of studying it is. It seemed to be no meaning in studying it.
Then I tried to write essay about this topic in TW, but I was said “It is subjective essay, not objective one. You have to write academic essay”, so I gave up. But when I looked for the books which support my idea, I found a book that said classics study was dying out. According to the book, much old people studied it for learning today’s history, politics, and geography and so on. But now, because we can learn it in each subject, as I supposed, there is no more meaning in studying it in this modern society.
I think it is more useful to learn today’s language than classics. If there is a person who wants to learn classics, he should learn at university. Classics are not the subject that every high school students should learn, I think. However, because it is taught still now, there must be some reason. Do you think there is any good point of learning classics? If you think yes, why do you think so?

What do I hate more than anything?

What I hate more than anything is the story that someone gets physical pain. I used to be afraid of black man  in the detective conan who commits murders in the way of poisoning, shooting, strangling and so on. Especially I hated stabbing way (blood, sounds and madness) so much that I shut off the sounds by operating the remote controler and the scene  by turning away my face from TV.  I have no longer fear to it, but still now, I don't like the movie of surgical operations even in TV dramas and the panic special collection which collect movie like saying "Ouch!!!" involuntarily.X( They makes me shudder.
However, somehow I love the Criminal investigation genre’s story now; Detective Conan, Kindaichi Case Files, Detective School Q and American drama "Bones"; FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth, the forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan and her individual colleagues finds the clues from the victims’ bones and things left behind. I love "Bones" so much.
Maybe I hate the painful story which can be imagined to happen to me myself.  Please, please don't tell me the story like "I cut my finger",  "I had my leg broken"....

My boom: Animal fortune-telling

Until recently, my boom was animal divination(動物占い). Do you think I have girlish taste? Umm... I think it is ridiculous to believe it, because there is no scientific evidence in it. However, it is very fun! It doesn't tell us the future's fortune but gives us the self‐analysis. Let’s try! http://www.doubutsu-uranai.com/uranai_12chara.php
According to this, I am Pegasus; Moody person who love freedom like Pegasus which gallop across the sky. For the reason, it cannot endure to be restricted. It is also the feature that there is a mystical field and it tends to be seemed vague.
Yes… Yes… I don’t like restricted by time. I’m not good at have a rendezvous and meet a deadline. X( I want to get over it! And also I don’t like phone. I think I can survive without phones for several days. Actually sometimes, I go out without charging a battery and break contact. :P
And the sea and the sky is the thing I like very much! I love aquarium and I love planetarium and towers from which I can look out over the spacious view.
Furthermore, because I don’t talk about myself too much, I'm told to be elusive. So, it’s true.

Week 3: What is the most precious thing in my life?

The most precious thing in my life is spending time with people with whom I feel happy or comfortable when they are by my side. For example, it is my family. There are 7 members in my family; father, mother, me, 3 younger brothers and grandmother. Sometimes we have a row, but after all, I love them.
Friends  are also very precious for me.  I am fussy about my friends and I like deep and narrow relations.  Though I don't have so many friends, I love my friends so much! Especially, local friends who I met at elementary school and junior high school, classmate and art club members which I belonged to at high school, and Toronto mate of Freshman SEA program are so important for me. We sometimes get in tough with each other on e-mail, Facebook twitter, but I long to see them once in a while. Every time I see them after a long time, talk goes well and it is very fun. :D
